Crucial Conversations® teaches skills for creating alignment and agreement by fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, or risky topics—at all levels of your organization. By learning how to speak and be heard (and encouraging others to do the same), you’ll surface the best ideas, make the highest-quality decisions, and then act on your decisions with unity and commitment.
Suitable for: Teacher Leaders, Middle Leaders, Deputy Principals, Principals, System Leaders
Phase 1 - Program Preparation
During this Phase of the program participants will be emailed a prep sheet and pre-reading to complete prior to attending the Phase 2 workshops.
Phase 2 - Two-day Workshop
The Two-day workshop involves lessons in mastering crucial conversation skills, including:
– Spotting the conversations that are keeping you from what you want.
Identifying your own ‘Style Under Stress’ and managing it.
– Staying in dialogue when you’re angry, scared or hurt—”think your way to the root cause of your negative emotions.
– Stepping out of a conversation and notice how to make it work.
– Taking steps to rebuild safety and returning to dialogue.
Phase 3 - Certificate of Completion
Participants will be emailed their certificate of completion.
Phase 4 - Post-Workshop Email Series
During this phase participants will be emailed weekly for 6-8 weeks some further readings, videos, check ins.
