PRACTITIONER RESEARCH FACE-TO-FACE PROGRAM
The Practitioner Research Program will build your research capacity and enable you to:
- robustly provide evidence for decisions of practice through research
- develop a set of transferable research skills to continue to answer questions of practice
- create a high standard dissemination product ( research paper or a short teacher article) to share research findings
Welcome & Preparation
Participants will receive their welcome email with pre-work.
INTRODUCTION TO PRACTITIONER RESEARCH
Participants will engage in a 1-day face-to-face workshop – Overview of the research process and establishing the research focus.
DEVELOPING THE RESEARCH FOCUS
Participants will engage in a 1-day face-to-face workshop – Literature review and research question design.
STUDY DESIGN AND METHODS
Participants will engage in a 2-day face-to-face workshop – Study design and research methods and developing proposed methods and instrument design for their own project.
CONDUCTING THE RESEARCH PROJECT
(In school/video conferencing support as needed)
Participants will collect the data and analysis and receive support from their facilitators.
DATA COLLATION AND ANALYSIS
Participants will engage in a 1-day face-to-face workshop – Data organisation, analysis and presentation.
POSITIONING THE FINDINGS AND FINAL PRESENTATION
Participants will engage in a 1-day face-to-face workshop – Positioning the findings in the research field, completion of the written paper and final short presentation of findings to workshop group.
Participants will be emailed their certificate of completion and their research paper (edited and formatted).
