Dr Matt Capp is the leading expert in UDL within Australia and in the Southern Hemisphere. He is the author of multiple peer-reviewed and professional journal articles on the topic. He has 20 years experiences as a classroom teacher and an educational consultant working in the area of inclusive education.

Participants will explore how they can practically break down barriers to the Australian Curriculum, by collaboratively identifying key knowledge and skills, and identifying what students actually need to demonstrate.

DEEPENING KNOWLEDGE OF THE UDL PRINCIPLES
The UDL framework is a proactive approach to supporting all learners to access the learning process. Participants will deepen their understanding
of the UDL principles and how these can be practically applied within classrooms.

To ensuring that planning, teaching, and assessment are inclusive for all learners, educators need to deeply know their students. Participants will explore how they can practically deepen their knowledge of their students so they can create inclusive learning experiences that support all learners.

DEVELOPING INCLUSIVE LESSONS FOR ALL STUDENTS
By proactively identifying the requirements of the Australian Curriculum and the strengths and challenges of their students, teachers can identify effective UDL strategies which they embed within their lesson planning. Participants will develop an understanding of how they develop inclusive lesson plans using the UDL principles.

He is the Chief Learning Officer at CAPITALISE Education, which supports classroom teachers, schools, and educational systems to practically implement the UDL framework through professional learning workshops, coaching, and consultancy.
